Daniel Sheinfeld Rodriguez
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Daniel Sheinfeld Rodriguez is a sculptor with a foundation in architecture and industrial design. He relocated to the Big Island of Hawai‘i in 2003 and currently lives and works in Hawi, Hawai‘i.
His body of work—ranging from large-scale installations to contemporary jewelry—is shaped by rigorous experimentation and gradual refinement. Sheinfeld Rodriguez employs unconventional fabrication techniques such as crushing, burning, fracturing, thermo-forming, and casting. These methods allow him to explore the expressive potential of diverse materials, resulting in evocative, visually arresting, and conceptually layered abstract forms.
His practice often gives rise to pixelated landscapes and biomimetic or tectonic structures—outcomes of his ongoing inquiry into material behavior and form.
Sheinfeld Rodriguez has exhibited his work in both solo and group shows in Honolulu, Maui, the Big Island, Los Angeles, and Caracas.
