CARBONO

In this series I explore the process of tearing up two-dimensionality through the breakdown of matter.
A cluster of hot embers of coal are placed randomly over common plywood sheathing slowly disintegrating the material and revealing an interstitial space between multiple dimensions. There is no action other than time and fire and no other materials than burnt wood over wood.

These resulting “blackscapes” can be interpreted in terms of light and architecture, as a sense of place or

in-between space to be entered.
